Frequently asked questions
The short answers. The price you see is the price you pay.
How is RVmigo free? What's the catch?
RVmigo charges 0% to hosts and 0% in renter service fees — the price you see is the price you pay. We're not a charity: we plan to make money later from optional things like featured listings, never from a cut of your rental. The trust that other platforms' fees pay for, we build a different way: identity verification, insurance documentation on file, rental agreements, and honest reviews.
Who provides the insurance?
The host does. RVmigo doesn't provide, verify, or endorse coverage — hosts arrange their own insurance and renters see whether documentation is on file. Always review the host's coverage and confirm the details with them before you book.
How does payment work?
You pay the host directly — RVmigo never holds or processes your money. Choose a payment method with recourse, never send money by wire transfer, gift card, or crypto, and send only to the payment handles shown on your trip page. Both sides can record payments for their own records.
How does booking an RV work?
Send the host a booking request with your dates. Hosts have 24 hours to respond before the request expires. When a host accepts, contact details open up for both of you and you arrange payment and pickup directly with them.
How do security deposits work?
Any security deposit is set by the host and settled directly with them. RVmigo never holds funds — the deposit terms are shown on the listing and in your rental agreement.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Each listing shows the host's cancellation policy — flexible, moderate, or strict — with the refund window for that tier. The policy you agreed to is recorded in your rental agreement; cancellations are settled directly between you and the host.
Do hosts owe taxes on rental income?
Yes. Rental income is generally taxable, and taxes are the host's responsibility — RVmigo doesn't withhold or file anything on your behalf. This isn't tax advice; consult a CPA about your situation.
Where is RVmigo available?
We're starting in Southern California, Phoenix, and Las Vegas — more cities soon. Hosts anywhere in the US can list their RV and bring their own renters, so you may find listings beyond those metros too.
Is RVmigo a party to the rental?
No. RVmigo is a venue that connects RV owners and renters — the rental agreement is between the host and the renter. We're not a party to it, we don't provide insurance, and we don't move money.
